Brussel_Sprout Brussel Sprout: Is visually a miniature version of cabbage. It is typically 1- 1.5 inches in diameter. It is made up of green leaves. It is believed that Brussel sprouts were around as early as the 1200's. The sprouts are actually the buds that are grown on a long thick stalk producing about 2 pounds of sprouts. Brussel sprouts are freshest from late autum to early spring.
